A couple of changes!

You may have noticed a new look to our website.  That’s because we have made a few changes to our IT strategy.

First, we have moved to new software for the website called WordPress.  This will let more individuals be involved in keeping us up to date.  If you are interested in helping out, even if you attend our church remotely, please let us know.  Some articles will have commenting enabled, so you can quickly send feedback, comments, or suggestions.

Second, we are attempting to address the video outages that have plagued us for several months.  This is a complete overhaul of our server and distribution software that will have several benefits to us.  Beyond better reliability, we can now reach most mobile devices with streaming video and/or audio.  This means many tablets, smartphones, set-top boxes, and netbook computers will be able to easily stream our services.  Also, we now have the capability to embed the live video in our web pages, so a third party player will no longer be required.  We are currently streaming all services.

Third, by changing the underlying video technology, we can increase quality while decreasing bandwidth requirements.  This allows better sound and video to reach you, the viewer.

While these changes are in progress, there will be a few bumps and hitches along the way; but we hope to minimize the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience in the past, present, and future.

Question: When do you expect to be live streaming again? Sun. night, Nov. 13th? I sure would like to attend the last night of revival. I tried to get on tonight, Sat., but was unable to. I didn’t know if streaming each night was planned or not. I’m a regular on Sun. nights and will really miss it while you’re in transition if this is the case. Thank you.

      June,
We are currently streaming revival each service. If you visit the “Live Streaming” link at the top of the page, you will find the various ways to watch the services. Currently, using the flash player is the best, but more options will open up as we adapt to this new format. If you could give me some details as to how it did not work for you tonight, I would be happy to assist.
      Andrew
